MAGICAL GIFT
The Magical Gift and the Secret of the Tree Guardians

I love fairy tales. It never occurred to me to write for children until my friend, a film director, asked me to write a script for a new fairy tale he wanted to film. However, a script is something entirely different from a book – it has its own rules, and you have to think differently about plot twists and storylines compared to writing a book. The fairy tale was never made, but through the process, I entered a completely new world.
THE MAGICAL GIFT has nothing in common with the unrealized script. It’s a completely new story where I didn’t have to consider a film budget. But I still had the desire to write something for children – about wizards, mysterious beings, mischievous pranks, and the courage to face dark forces. And so, I created my fantasy for children – essentially a modern fairy tale.
I’m still working on it, but here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store for you:
The Magical Gift and the Secret of the Tree Guardians
This thrilling story takes you to a world full of magic and sorcery, where not only torchbearers fight against evil and darkness. However, it is the courage and friendship of the main characters that help them cope with much more experienced wizards.
Little witch Bibi has not yet discovered her gift for magic, so she cannot be accepted into the School for Wizards. Like all children in the World of Magic who have not yet demonstrated any abilities for witchcraft, she has to go to school in the World of Ordinary People. But everything changes when Bibi and her friend Adam get into the forbidden Forest of Shadows, uncover the secrets of the tree guardians and discover that the World of Magic is in great danger. Neither dragons nor goblins will help here. Bibi is to appear before the High Council of Wizards, because it turns out that she can save the World of Magic.
You will meet the Cheese family and many mysterious creatures, including Quack the frog. He is not even that mysterious. He has a crown on his head and his biggest fear is that someone will kiss him and he will become a prince. His constant complaining does not make the situation much easier, but you will have a lot of fun with him in the World of Magic and in the World of Ordinary People. Moving between the two worlds is easy. All you have to do is say a magic spell and draw a door with a chalk on the wall. That is why every wizard who once visited the World of Ordinary People always carries a chalk in his pocket.
