Every magical gift begins the moment someone dares to believe in a fairytale

I’ve always loved fairytales.
But it never crossed my mind to write one for children—until a friend of mine, a film director, asked me to write a screenplay for a fairytale he wanted to film.

A screenplay isn’t a book—it has its own rules, and twists and turns need to be created in a completely different way.
It sounded like a magical challenge… and it was!

The film was never made, but through the process, I stepped into an entirely new world.
And I discovered I still had a deep longing for fairytales. A longing to tell stories for children.
About wizards, mysterious creatures, mischievous tricks—and the bravery to stand up against the dark.

And that’s how The Magical Gift came to life.
It has nothing to do with the original screenplay—it’s a brand new story. And this time, I didn’t have to worry about the film budget :))

It’s not finished yet, but I can already give you a little glimpse into what it’s about—and let you peek beneath the lid of its magic.

The Magical Gift and the Secret of the Tree Guardians

An exciting tale that takes you into a world full of spells and wonder, where torchbearers are not the only ones standing against the darkness—courage and friendship play the greatest role. Greater even than the magic of the most experienced sorcerers.

Young Bibi hasn’t discovered her magical gift yet, and so she isn’t allowed to attend the School of Magic. Like all the children in the World of Magic who have yet to show signs of magical ability, she must go to school in Wolrd of Humans. But everything changes when she and her friend Adam enter the forbidden Forest of Shadows, uncover the secret of the Tree Guardians, and learn that the World of Magic is in grave danger. This time, not even dragons or elves can help. Bibi must face the High Council of Wizards —because it turns out she might be the only one who can save the World of Magic.

Along the way, you’ll meet the Cheese family and many mysterious beings—including Quack the frog. Although, to be fair, he’s not all that mysterious. He wears a crown on his head and is terrified of being kissed—because that might turn him into a prince. His ramblings won’t make things any easier, but you’ll definitely have a good laugh with him—whether you’re in the World of Magic or the Human one.

Crossing between the two worlds is easy: just draw a door on the wall with chalk and say the magic words. Perhaps that’s why every wizards who’s ever visited the World of Humans carries a piece of chalk in their pocket.
